Levantina Kiosk
This kiosk was
created for the Cersaie fair, the ceramic materials fair most important in the
world. This fair is celebrated in Bolonia, Italy. Techlam by Levantina showed
an amazing kiosk. It was designed by Rocamora studio, an important studio of
design and architecture of Alicante, Spain, in 2017.
The kiosk
present a rectangular size, with 125m2 of surface. It has 10 m of length, 5 m
of width and 2,5 m of height. Therefore, we can see the relation between measures.
The width is two times the height and the length is two times the height.
On the other
hand, the Levantina kiosk has organic forms in the interior. Furthermore, the
interior of the kiosk is asymmetric.
In addition, it
has three different access, with a semicircular walk that is directed by
furniture.
The kiosk
presents a reception desk where the clients can ask their question or speak
with the staff for information about products o materials. Also, it has an
exhibition zone with the most important products of the brand. Finally, it has
a private room to keep some products, as Techlam, or personal things of the
staff.
Then, the
structure is made with steel and aluminium, which is hung from the ceiling.
However, the kiosk does not have its own ceiling. Finally, the form of the
project is made with Techlam, an innovative material of the brand, because it
is a strong material and it only has 6 mm of width. Moreover, the product in
the project is white; however, the company has the Techlam in many colours.
Techlam hang
from the principal structure. Sheets are superimposed and they have different
forms to create the corridor. In addition, we can see that this material is in
the floor too, with a width of 5 to 10 cm.
The light of the
kiosk is integrate with the structure. Therefore, we have a general
illumination in all the space. However, we also have the illumination of the
exterior space, because the form has several gaps.
In addition, we
have the logo of the brand outside of the kiosk. The colours are white and black,
and they combine with the general colour of the structure, that is white.
Inside the kiosk,
we have a lot of colour guides about this product and other guides with all
products of Levantina.
The values of
the brand are:
Sustainability.
Levantina value the environment. Therefore, they use products, which are not
harmful for people’s health and with low levels of emission of dangerous
substances.
Innovation. This
is very important, so, they always improve their materials and finishes. They
use the best technology to create new placement systems, maintenance systems,
stain-resistant methods and anti-slip methods. In addition, they also study new
applications for their materials.
Finally, the products
have to be accessible for all people.
The purpose of
the kiosk is to create a relationship between the client and the space, the brand
and Levantina. Without limits between private space and public space. While
they are showing their best product and their last innovation. Moreover, the
form of the project remind a corridor, so, the client that walk into the fair
can cross this kiosk to go to another zone at the same time they see the
product and they know Levantina.
Interesting post.
